Three days after bursting into public view, AEPA Architects Engineers P.C.president Alfred Liu's plan for a massive office building over the I-395 freeway may have reached its high point.

This year the US-China Capital Cities Friendship Council (USCCCFC) held their 27 anniversary Gala on November 14 at the Grand Hyatt Hotel in Chinatown featured a reception and silent auction followed by dinner and an awards presentation.

That evening we recognized the late Mr. Ronald Brown (1941-1996) who was appointed Commerce Secretary by President Bill Clinton. Mr. Brown was our USCCCFC first Chairman in 1984 and a champion of U.S.-China relations in strengthen bilateral relations, and we hope you will join us in acknowledging his achievements that evening.

Mr. Alfred H. Liu, chairman of USCCCFC, delivered a presentation about the Washington Global Trade Center, Washington D.C. Mayor Vincent Gray appeared enthusiastic and supportive  about the WGTC project and explained that it would "bring additional energy here to the District of Columbia, the likes of which we've never seen."
